Technically, there’s not an all-encompassing “tune-up” service because each service commonly associated with a traditional tune-up, happens at different service intervals. Most people, when inquiring about a generic “tune-up”, usually are referring to one or any combination of these individual services:
The services required and the tune-up service interval will differ depending on your model and model year. For example, Mercedes-Benz models from 2009 to 2014 will need an engine air filter replaced at 40,000 miles. CLA and GLA AMG® models will need the engine air filter replaced every 10,000 miles. Fuel filter replacement, ignition timing, and fuel system cleaning are also determined by the model and model year.

Replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires is an important part of tune-up services, generally. Conventional copper spark plugs usually require replacement at around 30,000-50,000 miles, while iridium or platinum spark plugs can last up to 100,000 miles. You should note that where and how you drive can affect how often you will need to replace your spark plugs.
According to the Mercedes-Benz Star Pre-Paid Maintenance* guide, Mercedes-Benz vehicles require spark plug replacement at least every 50,000 miles. However, the recommended spark plug replacement interval will differ depending on your specific Mercedes-Benz model and model year. Consult your owner’s manual for more information on recommended service intervals for your specific Mercedes-Benz model.
