What it’s all about: Our Independence Day commemorates the day that the United States of America became an independent nation. The USA signifies freedom, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness for all. With so much going in national news recently, this 4^th of July is a great time to celebrate America’s Independence and to show other nations that we stand together as one.

Plan ahead: It’s the remedy for a perfect weekend! The 4th of July is a busy day. Crowds galore, delicious food everywhere you look, families spending time together, loads of games to play, parades in many cities, and the list goes on! You don’t want to wake up the day–of not knowing what to do and not have a plan of action. The 4th takes careful planning and some degree of preparation if you are hosting a shin-dig. Ask yourself who, what, where, and work from there. Who is obviously the most important. Who do you want to spend your day celebrating with? Once you have that list handled, answer the what. Do you want to celebrate out and about or by staying close to your own party? There are tons of options living in Southern California, almost too many to  choose from!

Corona: Corona also holds a parade every year. The parade starts at Main Street and Ontario where streets are blocked off to make room for tons of booths to set up all around. After the parade you can head to Santana Park and enjoy more booths and fun activities. All of the vendors set up benefit the local, non-profit organizations. You will be giving back to your community by buying some burgers and ice pops, all while having a great 4th of July.
