Engine Options

The new GLE is sure to offer powerful engine options. Under the hood of the GLE 350 will be a 255-hp 2.0L turbo, while the new GLE 450 will house a new 3.0L single-turbo inline-six mild hybrid that outputs 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This new engine will also generate an extra 22 hp, thanks to the electric motor between the engine and transmission.

New Suspension Technology

The 2019 GLE will also come with E-Active Body Control, an electronically-controlled hydropneumatic suspension system. This suspension system minimizes body roll without a decrease in ride quality and improves off-roading ability. E-Active Body Control also eliminates the use of conventional anti-roll bars, so each wheel can move independently from one other.
