In the front of the S 580 there is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 496 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, cutting the 0–60 time to just 4.4 seconds. Both models feature 4MATIC® all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
