BMW vs. Mercedes-Benz: Cars

  • CLA vs. BMW 2-Series: The BMW 2-Series has a starting MSRP of $35,300, while the Mercedes-Benz CLA starts at a more competitive price of $33,100 MSRP. Though the CLA is less expensive, it also offers features not included on the 2-Series, including 14-way power-adjustable front seats. What’s more, the 2019 CLA offers more seating. The CLA seats five passengers, while the 2-Series only seats four.
  • C-Class vs. BMW 3-Series: Both the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the BMW 3-Series are powered by 2.0L turbo inline-4 engines that produce 255 hp. The C-Class, however, comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission, offering more responsive handling than the 3-Series’ 8-speed automatic transmission.

The E-Class generates 273 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a 9-speed automatic. The 5-Series produces 258 lb-ft of torque and has an 8-speed automatic transmission.
