Both vehicles offer superior performance, comfort, and technology for their respective segments, so how do you choose? Mercedes-Benz of Ontario has put together the following E-Class vs. C-Class comparison to clue you in!

C-Class vs. E-Class: Pricing

Starting at $41,400* MSRP, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C 300 packs plenty to enjoy into a compact package. Starting at $53,500* MSRP, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E 300 pushes luxury and technology even further. Of course, the C-Class Sedan is more cost-effective, but it lacks the E-Class Sedan’s reputation for opulence.

C-Class vs. E-Class: Performance & Features

There are plenty of similarities between the new E-Class and C-Class, but it’s also important for Chino and Fontana drivers to recognize their differences before buying or leasing. Here’s a few examples:

  • Engine: Both the new C-Class and E-Class come furnished with 2.0L turbo inline-4 engine, but the C-Class engine makes 255 hp while the E-Class engine makes 241 hp.
  • AMG®: Power variations become more apparent as you move up the E-Class and C-Class lines to the AMG® models. The AMG® C 63 S sports a 503-hp AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine, while the AMG® E 63 S gets an upgraded version that generates 603 hp.
  • Fuel Economy: At the base level, the C-Class is more fuel-efficient, earning 23 mpg city/34 mpg highway vs. the E-Class Sedan’s 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway rating.
  • Features: The C-Class comes with features like genuine wood trim, a power driver’s seat, memory settings, and a power sunroof. Bumping up to the E-Class gets you those features, plus a 12.3-inch display, steering wheel-mounted Touch Controls, and PRESAFE® Sound.
