Currently, AMG is the only automaker in the industry that builds each of its engines by hand. Every AMG engine demonstrates technological leadership with advanced biturbos and comparably low fuel consumption. The AMG 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder, for example, is the most powerful of its kind, thanks to twin-scroll turbocharging. AMG Performance 4MATIC^® All-Wheel Drive

While there are plenty of high-performance all-wheel drive vehicles on the market, none operate quite like a Mercedes-AMG. Performance 4MATIC^® all-wheel drive is an AMG exclusive, and was adapted from Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC^® technology for race-inspired performance. This system is comprised of rigid yet lightweight components, and intelligently distributes torque between the front and rear wheels. Performance 4MATIC^® gives the already dexterous AMG lineup the gumption to travel city streets, highways, and backroads.

Performance 4MATIC^® uses two crucial systems: 3-Stage Electronic Stability Program (ESP^®) with a Sport Mode and 4-Wheel Electronic Traction System (4ETS^®). ESP^® features three modes: ESP^® ON, ESP^® SPORT HANDLING MODE, and ESP^® OFF. As you sail down Rancho Cucamonga’s winding highways, ESP^® promotes stability by braking a wheel’s as needed, giving you leeway here and there in Sport Mode. On the other hand, 4ETS^® strengthens wheel-grip, so you can whip around corners and explore the backways in confidence.
