New Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV Features
Powerful and well-equipped, the five-seat Mercedes-Benz GLE slots between the GLC and GLS. It’s a genuine SUV with a spacious cargo area that, according to KBB, also “packs a few surprises, like the ability to tow up to 7,200 pounds.” The GLE is available to Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga families in several trims, including the popular GLE 350 and GLE 350 4MATIC®. Check out a few highlights from the GLE 350 interior:
- 8-inch display with optional navigation
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- Nappa® leather multifunction steering wheel
- Eucalyptus wood trim
- Up to 80.3 cubic feet of cargo space
Mercedes-Benz GLE vs. GLC
Compared to the GLC, the GLE is higher-priced and less efficient, but it’s also stronger and more spacious. The GLE starts out with a V6 engine and can tow as much as 7,200 pounds vs. 3,500 pounds with the GLC. Folding the rear seats in the GLE reveals up to 80.3 cubic feet space in the GLE, compared to 56.5 in the GLC. How does the GLE fair against out-of-brand competitors? Compared to the BMW X5, it’s less expensive, more powerful, and roomier, making it a better choice for Chino and Eastvale SUV shoppers.
